ABOUT SAVAGE SUNGLASSES
All Savage Sunglasses fully comply with the Aust/NZ optical standards and offer 400 UV protection. All our non metal sunglasses are made from a material called Cotton Plastic. Because this is a natural material it is stronger and feels softer when worn.
All lenses are made from Acrylic which is stronger than plastic, more scratch resistant and gives superior optics. These lenses are in most cases thicker, giving better strength.
Most of the sunglasses have a copper or metal wire fitted in to the arm. This gives added strength and allows for the arm to sit correctly.
Our Kitten styles (without the diamantes) can be fitted with an optical lens as the Cotton Plastic frame can take the heat required by an optometrist to fit the lens.
All the Kitten, Diamond and Laura styles have the patterns covered with a strong, clear coating (called Crystal). This coating protects the design, so they will not rub or chip off. All our coloured frames have the colour throughout the frame (not just sprayed on to the top). Again this protects the colour.
